Notifications & alarms on Android
Reminders arrive late or not at all
Android's battery saving can put Remindio to sleep. Please check:
- Battery: Settings → Apps → Remindio → Battery → Unrestricted.
- Alarms & reminders permission (Android 12+): Settings → Apps → Remindio → Alarms & reminders → Allow.
- Notifications are enabled for Remindio, including all its notification categories.
- Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO: enable Autostart and set Battery saver to No restrictions.
- Samsung: remove Remindio from Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps (Settings → Battery → Background usage limits).
- Huawei / Honor, OPPO, vivo, OnePlus: allow auto-launch and background activity in the battery or app launch settings.
Device-specific instructions are also collected at dontkillmyapp.com.
Full-screen alarm shows only as a notification
On Android 14 and newer, allow Full-screen notifications for Remindio: Settings → Apps → Remindio → Notifications → Full-screen notifications. Also make sure the reminder's mode is set to Alarm in the editor.
Location or Bluetooth reminders don't trigger
- Location reminders need location permission set to Allow all the time and Location turned on.
- Bluetooth reminders need the Nearby devices permission and Bluetooth turned on.
- Battery restrictions (see above) affect these triggers too.
Reminders stopped after restarting the phone
Remindio reschedules reminders after a reboot. If that doesn't happen, open the app once and check the Autostart / background settings described above.
Remindio for iPhone
I don't receive reminders on iPhone
- Settings → Notifications → Remindio: turn on Allow Notifications, Sounds and Time Sensitive Notifications.
- If you use a Focus mode (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, Work), add Remindio to its allowed apps.
- Make sure Background App Refresh is allowed for Remindio.
Which features are available on iPhone?
The first iOS release includes notifications and alarms, repeats, pre-reminders, labels, checklists, Do Not Disturb rules and widgets. Location reminders, backups and Premium features are currently Android-only and will come to iPhone in future updates.
Can I move my reminders between Android and iPhone?
Not yet. Android and iOS versions store data separately on each device.
Backup & restore
How do I back up my reminders?
On Android, open Settings → Backup. You can save a backup file locally on your device or to your own Google Drive. Remindio has no servers of its own, so a backup is the only way to keep your reminders when switching phones.
How do I restore reminders on a new phone?
Install Remindio, open Settings → Backup and choose Restore. Select the local file or sign in to the same Google account you used for the Google Drive backup.
Premium & purchases
How do I restore my Premium purchase?
Make sure the Play Store is signed in to the Google account you used for the purchase, then open Remindio Settings → Premium → Restore purchases.
How do I request a refund or cancel a subscription?
Payments are processed by Google Play, so refunds and subscription cancellations are managed in the Play Store: Profile → Payments & subscriptions. You can also contact us and we'll help.
Your data
Where are my reminders stored?
On your device only. Remindio has no account system and does not upload your reminders to our servers. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete reminders in the app, or uninstall Remindio to remove all app data from the device. Backups you created (local files or Google Drive) are under your control and can be deleted there. To request deletion of analytics or crash data, email us.
